TREADING THE BOARDS
Bringing learning to life through performance
The name Treading the Boards comes from a long-standing theatre tradition, where actors would quite literally step onto wooden stages to perform. To “tread the boards” is to take your place in the world of live performance; to learn, to practise, and to share stories with an audience.
We chose this name because it reflects a deep respect for the craft of theatre, while celebrating the journey every performer takes. Whether you’re stepping onto the stage for the first time or refining your skills, Treading the Boards is about building confidence, creativity, and a genuine connection to performance.
It’s a nod to theatre’s rich history — and an invitation to be part of its future.
At Treading the Boards, we aim to ignite a passion for performance and unlock the creative potential within every student.
